The ancient volcano.

It is the time of two thousand and fifty. I flew to an ancient volcano in the united states of america (the biggest volcano in the world) in my helicopter. I wasn’t meant to land in the united states I was meant to land in Los Angeles but I had to make a crash landing because something went wrong with the engine. When I hopped out of my helicopter I put my gas mask and my heat protection suit on so that I don’t get poisoned because of the poisonous air and the burning heat. There was smoke everywhere. I coughed as I inhaled the smoke. The sky was grey and there were bits of hot ashes all over the ground from the volcano. As I looked up I could see the gigantic volcano right in front of me. I looked over my shoulder and I saw a village of abandoned houses, some of them were burnt to ash. In the distance I saw a graveyard I couldn’t quite make out what was standing outside of it, but as I got closer I realised that they were zombies. GASP!!!   

I am going to take….

One large gold and silver steel gas mask 

With transparent glass eye holes

To see through cloudy ash filled air

And provide fresh cool oxygen

To be able to explore the volcano insides.

One large silky and soft protection suit.

With heat protected metal

And with wool sewed on the inside 

To protect me from the burning heat

Incase the heat gets unbearable.

One medium size shotgun

Loaded with 4 steel capped, tiny lace winged bullet shells

Include seven spare bullet shells

To protect myself

In case zombies invade the volcano.

One small size 2k diamond camera

With 50 diamond films 

With a 20 inch clear transparent screen

To see out of when I take a picture

In case there is a great sight to take a picture of.  

And of course my best friend

To keep me company.

Every year Billie and I go camping at Tahuna Campground in Nelson and we always have a fabulous time. Down below I am going to list 3 reasons why you should go camping at Tahuna Campground.

 

 

Firstly, you should go camping at Tahuna Campground because you meet new friends around the campground. Last year Billie and I made lots of new friends from all over New Zealand. If you make new friends you can hang out with them. It would be good if you made new friends because then you would have friends inside and outside of school. this is one reason why Tahuna Campground is a great place to go camping.

 

Secondly, you should go camping in Nelson because you get lots of exercise. When you go camping you get a lot of exercise from walking, biking and running around the campground. You also get exercise from riding go carts that you can hire.

Thirdly, you should go camping at Tahuna Campground because there are lots of fun activities to do in the campground and outside of the Campground. There are about three parks at the Campground that you can play at. Across the road from the Campground there is a water park with a big hydro slide and many more fun things to do at the Campground. This means that there is always something to do and you will never get bored. 

 

 In conclusion, you should go camping at Tahuna Campground because, you meet new friends, you get lots of exercise and there are lots of fun activities to do. I hope that you decide to go camping at Tahuna Campground in Nelson. It is loads of fun!!!!!! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Toki Pounamu Film Festival.

Toki Pounamu Film Festival. 

Today we went to the Toki Pounamu Film Festival at the
Regent Theater. This film festival was when kids from schools
in the Greymouth area made short films and then they
displayed them at the film festival.

My favourite film was the first film. It was about a robbery at the
bank. In the film there were two sheriffs and a reporter. The
robber stole over two million dollars, the sheriffs and the police
were trying to track the robber down. When the police officers
ran it had sound effects. The police officers had fake plastic
guns and they pretended to shoot the robber. They have done
a good job at using slow motion. They also did a great job at
editing and getting good action shots. They also had a lot of
different angled pictures.          

Collaging Google Drawing

We have been learning to make a collage on Google Drawing. We had to use the explore, mask and arrange tools to get our collage to come together. We had to make a NZ bird and put it into its habitat. It was a lot of fun and I am really pleased with my bird. Have you ever had a go at this?
